Before "going live" in 1999, initially our program began as a videotape competition that culminated at an April Fools Day award ceremony. Over the years, it grew into a "live" multi-market event series and we have had the pleasure of witnessing many participants grow their comedy careers in exciting ways.

Ladies of Laughter currently moves forward to develop additional outlets for comediennes, industry and sponsors, staying true to our initial cause of furthering the careers of women in comedy.
