Beginners Juggling Workshop (grades 6+)
"In this class children will use their instincts and imaginations while experimenting with
movement and character vocalizations. Students will learn acting techniques through
improvisation exercises, monologues, small scenes and skits. A performance will be held
at the end of the winter session."
Comedy for Teens
"Were you born funny? When you eat lunch with your friends do you have a habit of
making them spit milk through their noises? Are you a natural at making people
laugh? This class is for those teens who would like to take their “natural funniness”
and turn it into a stand-up comedy routine. This class is also helpful for those who
would like to bring their “funniness” to the surface."
Ladies of Laughter
"Learn the secrets of making people laugh and create your own personal comedic routines
from your everyday life experiences. That’s what Chelsea Handler, Joy Behar and Ellen
DeGeneres do! Humor is therapeutic! Even if you have no intention of ever getting up
on stage, learning how to turn life experiences into comedy routines will give you a
new perspective on life. The class will include studying other working comediennes’
styles while developing your own comic voice to create your personal comedy routine. Many
also find this course helpful to overcome the fear of public speaking."
